MushroomSacred Heart Meditation

To respond to life, and our children, from a place of connection and well being, is what we all strive for. Through the practice of meditation, one can begin to feel the reality of connection and well being that abounds.

  1. If you choose, start by finding a music you are comfortable with below in the Relaxation and Meditation timer. Set the timer for 5 or more minutes and sit comfortably.
  2. Breathe in three deep breaths as if you are breathing in love, warmth, and peace.
  3. Close your eyes. Bring your attention to your heart and focus on the love of your Creator, God, Spirit, Allah, or whatever name you choose to label All That Is.
  4. With each breath, imagine and feel that you are breathing in this love.
  5. You will begin to feel more at ease. Experiences and things that please you may enter your thoughts.
  6. Thoughts are just clouds in the sky. You are the sky. The thoughts just float on by.
  7. Continue for the amount of time set on the timer or for as long as you desire.
  8. When finished, take three deep breaths, again breathing in love and open your eyes upon completing the third breath.
  9. Notice any sensations and/or experiences you felt while in meditation and take some to write about the experience if you feel moved to do so.

Taking a few minutes to meditate as often as feels good to you will strengthen your connection to your Source of Life and Well Being.
