Transformational Parenting Defined
It is our belief that the experience of parenting in itself is transformational. Literally, it begins with the amazing transformation that occurs when sperm and ova meet, join then divide, and ultimately create the beginning of a little human being. As this process happens within the mother, her partner and she both witness with great awe the power of transformation.
To take this a step further, parents come to the task of caring for little ones with the parenting received not only from their own parents or other care givers while growing up, but also from friends, their parents, teachers, society, and their whole combination of life experiences. With that, parents have a base of good and bad, light and dark with which to begin the transformational parenting journey.
It is commonly accepted that struggles will be part of the parenting experience. Many parents look back to the time they were kids and remember themselves, or others, having a hard time with their parents and end up expecting some variation of the same when they have assumed the role of parent. Even in families where struggles between parent and child seem minimal, the realization of parent and family life may present unwelcome challenges. These challenges can lead to feelings of insecurity, guilt, overwhelm, and a lack of complete harmony in parenting which can affect many areas of life.
As we embark upon the experience of a lifetime, becoming a parent, many of us realize we want more from our parenting and our relationship with our children. We want to literally transform our parenting experience into one of harmony.
Coaching with Transformational Parenting
Quite simply, Transformational Parenting exists purely so we can help you transform any of the insecurity, guilt, and overwhelm into harmony! We want parents everywhere to be free of parenting stress and be in harmony with all of the gifts that parenting has to offer. The thought of more happy, relaxed parents walking this planet brings a grin to our faces every time we think of it! The life transforming results experienced by the parents we work with encourages us in our mission to transform the world, one parent at a time. We know you can have what you want: a harmonious parenting experience, one which blends acceptance and appreciation, joy and enthusiasm.
We know because we are parents, just like you. We have felt the stressful negative feelings most parents feel from time to time, some so strongly that it can be almost debilitating. We knew there had to be another way. We wanted a different parenting experience so we both made a firm commitment to change our lives and become the parents we wanted to be.
Through years of researching and trying different parenting techniques, talking with many parents through our work as La Leche League Leaders, and ultimately following our hearts, we found that the role of parenthood absolutely can be completely free of any level of insecurity, guilt, or overwhelm. We created Transformational Parenting so you can experience harmonious parenting in the manner it really originates: through a peaceful place within. All of the method and “how” related questions become very clear once the way is paved for peace within the parent. Regardless of where you are in your parenting, we will get you to where you want to be and we will share resources for you to stay there for not only your entire parenting career, but for life!
The transformational parenting journey can look different to different parents and the value of our experience is one that focuses on meeting each parent where he or she is at, right now.
